How to Handle Projected Commissions

Some companies want to be able to show projected commissions.  These are commissions on deals that occur in the future. A lot of companies will commission reps on both an initial sale and on renewal deals.  Renewals occur when an initial contract expires but is renewed. So you might want to show reps what commissions they can expect on renewals.

Spiff handles this use case easily if your CRM already has records created for these "future" deals.  Here is an example.  

This rep Al Toyd has several deals that closed in June of 2019. 

Now if we click on the statement period selector and find June 2020 (1 year from the statement above), we can see several of his deals that renew.  And we can see the commissions he receives on these renewal deals.
